R.O.G.U.E man was drawn towards the Hip Hop music genre and was inspired to perform the arts by rap artistes like the Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z, Nas and Canibus. R.O.G.U.E is an acronym that stands for Rhymes Of Great Unparalleled Excellence.

Songs of the late Afro beats pioneer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, also helped to sharpen his mind in the area of lyrical content and getting messages across to the listener.

While trying to obtain a university degree he was part of a duo with a friend called Demphis and they formeed a group called ‘Demphis & R.O.G.U.E man‘. After obtaining a university degree in Biochemistry, he decided to pursue a career in music. At this point he was resident in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, where he got introduced to a record label called Impact Records. He recorded a few songs (released and unreleased) and collaborated with a few well known acts in Nigeria, like 2 shots, Kaboom from Trybesmen, Terry da Rapman, O.D, and Mode 9 to mention a few.

He Performed at a lot of venues in the city of Abuja including the Big Brother Nigeria after party, in conjunction with Channel O. He is also known for his writing abilities and co-producing skills. His first song ever released was requested so much it got to Number two on 96.9 Cool F.M. The song is called ‘Dem Say’. It features a sample from the song originally recorded by the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti called ‘Shakara’.

His musical experiences only confirmed his conviction that his career had to be based on his passion for music and writing.

Music to him is an important tool of expression and he strongly believes he has messages to deliver through the art form. It will be grave injustice if these messages from this truly gifted artiste never get across to music lovers worldwide.

R.O.G.U.E man is a Top notch Nigerian rapper with skills like no other. His flow is marvelously on point. A lyricist extra ordinaire! He has been dubbed the Revolution!! On a mission to free Nigerian rap music from the grip of mediocrity! ITS THE TAKEOVER!!
