Biography
The artiste Obvious, (Born Solomon Onyekwere on the 18th of December) known for his versatility and unique style started his singing and writing career in 2002 with a Group called the GoodFellaz (G-Fellaz), a 6 man group with 4 rappers,1 ragga Mc and Me, then decided to do his solo career in 2004 and got signed on Smasher's Records in 2008.
Friends called him “Osula King”, Obvious keeps his fans wanting more with his music and new flavor and eclectic style that is uniquely his.
His Ability to relate with the female gender through his love songs has continuously made the name OBVIOUS a Household Name. This unique style, Is evident on all of his song some of which include his First single "NNE (My Angel), Most Beautiful & the Club bangers "O Make e" and "Wound Somebody".
Obvious, who’s First single “Nne” and the Club Hit “O Make e” from his soon to be released album (Heart of Imo), is rocking the Air Waves at the moment aspires to raise his game, push the creative envelope and transcend music stereotypes. He is working hard to build a solid, outstanding body of work that hopefully will outlive him. He aims in all ways to become a reference point for Nigerian artistes anywhere. His Influences are R.Kelly, Akon, 50cent, Joe, Jahiem, EX-O and Jay-Z. He hopes to someday become a Great ambassador with his music. He believes consistency, originality as well as hard work are the keys to achieving all these. His philosophy of life is “The Depth of your struggle determines the height of your success".
The forth coming album has a whole lot of artiste collaborating with him, There are Affroholik,OB,Feeler,Chezy B,G-Fellaz,Gini-Q,EX-O,Isolate and Pash with EX-O (Loud Anuff), Vybe Productions (USA),Boma (UK), White Hot Productions (Canada),Dj Mesta (ITALY) & Samklef (Klef Sound) on the production. The album is made up of 13 Tracks with 2 Bonus Tracks and there is a song on the album for everyone.
The year 2009, Is the year of “O Make e” and Obvious is without a doubt here to stay and make statement in the Nigeria Music industry.
