Biography

Alex Samson popularly known as King Lexy I was born in the early 80's in the month of January in Kaduan State Nigeria.Born to a family of two, i lived with my Grand Parents through out my school days, till i eventually moved out of the Ghetto.
Life was not really easy for me while i was growing up, but due to the determination i had in life to achieve my dreams, i was able to fight it hard and rough through out my school days till i eventually graduated from College. I grew up to be a strong man because i had to do some kind of odd jobs just to earn a living, but that has always been a story that i will live to tell.
While growing up, i loved hip-hop & R&B and some of the artists who inspired me were Tupac and R kelly . When my friends heard my perfect tenor voice,they eventually encouraged me to drop a rap and I did just that.I performed at many talent shows and won many prizes and awards at my younger age. I have also met alot of artists with whom i have worked with behind the scenes. Along the line no one was there to support me and none believed in me and my dreams,so my grand parents whom i was staying with decided to encourage me to finish high school first, and then they could talk about a possible music career.

After a period of hard work and struggling, i eventually got a certificate in school and immediately moved to London to continue with my studies and music career. Now while in London, i stayed with my mum who further encouraged and gave me all the support i needed to achieve my dream. I eventually started from recording, droping mix tape and also working on my own songs.
After achieving a huge success in the musical line, i later on moved back to Nigeria to set up a video and audio recording studio which was known all over the town. Along the line ,i joined a group called (nice t cube),before droping down to be a solo artist were i started appearing on musical videos, mixtapes, singles and also on x-tacy`s debut album 2007, as well as striking out my own single "Naija rubber band" which was a solo cut from one of my soundtrack. During that period, while I was working on my debut album It`s Game Time, i also had other collaborations with J-blaq, A.T, Deebee Collabo, Stine Richard as well as droping some street-level mixtapes. My proper debut, naija rubber band, was released by Lexy Records in 2008..
Now in Dec 2009, the single 'I Bet She Want Me' helped to make ready my first album, while In 2010 summer, i successfully droped the 'Naija Rubber Band Remix' with various Nigerian UK artists, before my debut album 'It's Game Time' came to be in June 2010.
I am currently working on my next album that will feature other artists like JJC Skillz, Dee Bee Collabo, Shady Blue, Jaywon, G Xploits, Tuface, Keffe, Stine Richard, J Black and Dan Hausawa.
I work so hard to come so far and i thank my star. In life we live to learn, and i learnt that the only way you could get anywhere in life is to work hard towards it. Whether you're a musician, a writer, an athlete or a businessman, there is no getting around it. If you do, you'll win-if you don't, you loose.
